Patient Notice

Dear Patients,

I am sure you are aware of the rapidly developing situation in the UK with regards to the COVID-19 Virus.

The situation is now becoming life-threatening to many and schools and businesses have been asked to close, to help minimise the spread of the Virus.

So far we have been able to continue with our high level of cross-infection and also taking extra precautions, although as of today (23/03/2019) we have been advised from the British Dental Association that dental practices must now go to seeing emergency patients only.

This is an extremely difficult decision but our utmost priority is the health and safety of our patients and our team.

We will be available for emergencies only and if you ring the practice on 01772 717316 will do our best to accommodate you.

  1. We are still able to offer advice over the phone via 01772 717316 if you ring and we will get back to you ASAP.
  2. We can arrange a video consultation should you require it and have set up a facility to do so on our website www.lifestyledental.co.uk
  3. We do have the ability to arrange a remote prescription in the most severe situations.

also in terms of general advice here are some points

If you currently undergoing treatment with braces generally these can be stopped and continued once we are open. If you have any issues most cases can be resolved remotely and if you ring the number above we can help.

If you have a loose filling or a filling come out then there is a kit available from the following website which can help if you need advice on how to use this again ring the number above and will help best we can

If you have a crown which is loose then then I would advice using denuture fixative to help stabalise this do not use any cement as this can damage the underlying tooth.

There will be further advice dental emergencies which require face to face contact and once we get this information will forward on to you.

If you are on a membership scheme then this will cover you for emergency care and also up to £10,000 of accidental trauma..

The situation is very fluid and we will update you within the next 2 weeks, this is a temporary measure and we will be back to normal operating soon.

We would like to also apologise for any inconvenience this has caused but again we feel the health of our patients and team is paramount.

Please stay safe and we will see you all soon – Thanks, Nadim

MEET DR. NADIM MAJID & THE LIFESTYLE DENTAL TEAM

Dr. Nadim Majid qualified from Liverpool Dental school in 2001 and since then has worked in Lancashire for a number of years. He decided to undertake a career in dentistry as he found it was a good mix of science and art and also gave him the ability to help people and make a difference for them.

This really hit home when he worked in a nursing home for a short time and actually saw the impact upon the health and well being of patients whom had lost their teeth the impact was significant on the general health and well being and this is something Dr. Majid wanted to make sure he helped others avoid.

Dr. Majid is trained in hypnosis, sedation for nervous people, dental implants as well as braces. He lives in Lancashire with his two children (twins) and his wife who is a teacher. Dr. Majid has always and will continue to be focused on producing top quality services that his patients have come to expect and appreciate.
