Ways A Cosmetic Dentist Can Enhance Your Smile

As more people have become concerned about their health, wellness, and lifestyle, cosmetic dentistry is becoming more and more popular globally. And it should also be a matter of concern as smile boosts the confidence and make you smile more. But what if your teeth are discolored, crooked or unevenly spaced then instead of showing you will try to hide them and smile less.

Hiring the cosmetic dentist would be the only choice to get back that cheerful smile and make it wider and attractive. Here are some ways gathered below with the help of which cosmetic dentist can boost your overall facial appearance. Want to know? Let’s get started.

1. Porcelain Veneers

Veneers are the one way that dentists use to space up your chipped or unevenly spaced teeth. Moreover, if you have excess space between the teeth or are permanently stained then also veneers can deal with such hassles. The dentist cements the porcelain made a shell that covers or color the stained teeth. Then using the beams of UV rays they harden the cement coating further increasing the longevity and a brighter smile.

2. Crowns

Crowns also known as caps are the protection in the teeth color form that protects and cover the overall tooth. Crowns are helpful in restoring the damaged teeth, reduces the growth of bacteria and protects the teeth from further damage. Moreover, these crowns are used to treat the drastically damaged or stained tooth further offering an even smile.

3. Teeth Whitening

A bright and wide smile requires white and undamaged teeth and this is only possible by getting the teeth whitening treatment. The reasons for staining of teeth can be anything like medications or smoking. All this discoloring effect can only be removed by the help of professional teeth whitening service.

4. Dental Implants

If you have any missing teeth then a dental implant is the only way that the dentist will suggest to you. This treatment not only looks natural but feels like your original teeth. All the dentist will do is to provide a strong & stable teeth root by implanting a titanium rod into the jawline.

Apart from these, there are various other procedures that can help you achieve the best oral hygiene. So, if dealing with any of the dental issues then visit Lifestyle Dental to determine the best treatment as per your dental problem and can smile the way you want to. All the Best!

Its October and the weather has turned to rain and wind.  Looking forward to Halloween and the trick or treat season.
got asked the other day about tooth sensitivity and a few  people have been coming in with sensitive teeth and wondering what can be done about  it
here is a small list with a few solutions
1, Dentinal hypersensitivity – this is sensitivity of the roots of the teeth if the gums have receded and the roots of the teeth are exposed then this can cause sensitivity of these teeth one solution to this is to have same kind of barrier attached to the surface either by a dentist or to use desensitising tooth paste to build up a barrier sensodyne and Colgate are one of the ones that can be use
2, sensitivity due to fractured teeth – if you have trauma in the mouth this can result in sensitive teeth as a result of exposed dentine would be a good idea to have a comprehensive assessment to asses the teeth and if there are any fractured and also to get them repaired
3, Decay in the teeth – if you have decayed teeth this again can expose the dentine and the teeth can become sensitive if this is the case then some fillings may be required a comprehensive examination will show this up

Everyone at Lifestyle Dental has been busy working hard and we have all the updates on the team in the recent newsletter which will be dropping through your letter box soon and via email and also will be available online.
Recently also been getting quite a few questions about tooth wear and why are my teeth wearing away so i guess this is a good time to cover this area here as well.
Tooth wear can be due to a number of different reasons although it can be  grouped into four areas
1, Tooth wear due to bruxism or grinding this can be due to a habit at night or during the day the exact reason for grinding is not known in most cases although it can be a stress relieving habit. If you think you grind your teeth you may find your muscles are sore or you have a sore jaw in the mornings due to the excessive pressure.
2, Tooth wear due to erosion this can be due to a very acidic diet so if your having alot of food which is acidic in nature then this can cause the teeth to wear down. Some of the main foods which cause this can be fizzy drinks and citric drinks like orange juice. If you think this may be happening then a good idea to look at your diet if you need help with this then we can help you with a diet sheet to record everything
3,Excessive brushing can result in wear of the teeth also there are a few toothpastes which can be abrasive in nature be careful to use only light pressure which brushing
4, Tooth wear can also be to internal acids if you have an eating disorder or if you have gastric reflux then this can result in an acidic environment in your mouth causing tooth wear if you need advice on this then there is a great website for further help seed eating disorders

so there are a few other reasons and also in most people we find that the tooth wear is due to a combination of factors so if your concerned about your teeth wearing away then give us a call on 01772 717316. Want to know more about why are my teeth short, contact us today!
