What to do when your teeth don't look perfect after braces…

teeth after bracesOn that wonderful day when you get your cosmetic braces off and your treatment is complete, what do you do if you’re not completely thrilled with the results? What if your teeth are straightened and in the correct position, but you’re dissatisfied with the how they look?
Don’t worry – there are options to get your teeth looking exactly how you want them to!
After braces, if you find you’re not 100% thrilled with your straightened teeth, there are two further procedures which sometimes are required to finish off and give you the smile that you’re looking for:
Artificial Enamel bonding – What this involves is using artificial enamel which can be bonded on to the teeth. This can change the shape of the teeth significantly and thus give a much better appearance to a tooth and even alter the whole smile.
Contouring – If a tooth is a little big or has a crooked edge, then this can be corrected by polishing the edge of that tooth. This results in an enhanced appearance. This has to be done very carefully and in the right dimensions to keep within the natural smile. So sometimes with a combination of contouring and artificial enamel bonding an excellent smile can be achieved.
