Six Month Smiles – What To Expect

We have had a few people ask what can they expect when they go for a brace system such as the six month smiles
well firstly the six month smiles braces us a very unique system which can straighten teeth within six months the brace system consists of clear brackets and also a tooth coloured wires here is a video to show what they look like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8qtQHpObk78
Here is a number of things to remember once they are fitted
1, You do have to be careful as to what you eat as with any brace system that involves brackets food especially stick food such as toffee and chewing gum can get stuck to the brackets so best to avoid these
2, Also hard food may have to be broken down into smaller sections to eat
3, It will take longer to eat initially
4, There will be a little bit of discomfort to begin with in the first 48 hours although most people have found that this can be managed with simple painkillers
5, You must really brush thoroughly more than before, we provide specialised kits when you have the brackets fitted because the chances of developing decay increase
there are the few things to remember if you interested in finding out more then give us a call on 01772 717316
