Have you ever thought about why foods taste different?
Your tongue and the roof of your mouth are covered with tiny taste buds. when you eat something these taste buds are responsible for converting the chemicals in to a signal to the brain.
There are four different types of taste buds
The salty/sweet taste buds are located near the front of your tongue; the sour taste buds line the sides of your tongue; and the bitter taste buds are found at the very back of your tongue
the taste buds change as you get older so this is why taste develops different as you get older .
